Live at Native: Ten Cent Poetry

Chelsea Lynn La Bate (Ten Cent Poetry) has just completed her latest album Appalachian Eyes with Grammy Award Winning producer, Neal Merrick Blackwood. She cut her songwriting teeth in NYC’s Lower East Side anti-folk scene. She has performed close to 3,000 independent shows and has written hundreds of songs, published a collection of lyrics (Words), made dozens of animated music videos and will release her book on songwriting (Songcrafters) in 2016. She is the First Place Winner of Eddie’s Attic Shootout (John Mayer, Indigo Girls), Flat Rock Music Festival Songwriters Contest and Asheville’s Brown Bag Competition. She has facilitated songcrafting all over the country in universities, at camps, and is highly coveted for her songwriting prompts.
